Howard "Buddy" Bass, Jr., 63, husband of Mrs. Doris Creel Bass, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Buddy was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Howard Bass, Sr. and the late Effie Mae Tindall Bass. He was a retired carpenter and he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Doris Creel Bass; daughters Sherri Bryant and Nichole Bryant; son Eric Bass; brothers, Randy (Michele) Bass, Rusty Bass, Steve Bass, and John (Vickie) Bass; sisters, Billie Pope and Joann Causey; grandchildren, Nathan, Ethan, Marshall and Elizabeth.

He was pre-deceased by a son W. Curtis Bass; and sisters Cathy Birchmore and Patricia Valazquez; and a brother, Gene Bass.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held Friday April 29, 2022, at 12:00 PM in the Old Field Cemetery, 19761 Choppee Rd., Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends after the service.
