Howard Lee Davis, Sr., 73, husband of Mary Etta Baxley Evans, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in a Florence hospital.

Mr. Howard was born in Birmingham, AL, a son of Bette O'Gwin Davis and the late Kenneth Crawford Davis, Sr. He retired from Tupperware as the Superintendent of the Tupperware Express Line. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church and was also a member of the Men's Fellowship Group of the church.

He enjoyed working in his yard as well as all the new technology and new gadgets that are now available to us, along with caring for his dog "Binkie', and he was a proud Alabama Football fan.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Etta Evans; mother, Bette O'Gwin Davis; children, Michelle Matthews and Howard Lee Davis, Jr.; brother, Kenneth Crawford (Gloria) Davis, Jr.; sisters, Sharron Jean Rice, Connie Marie (Theo) Humphries, and Katrina Sherell (David) Ezelle; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the Midway Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, January 27, 2022 in the Midway Baptist Church, 917 Baptist Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
