Imogene Locke Tanner, 92, widow of Loyd Wayman Tanner, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Lake City Community Hospital.

Mrs. Imogene was born in Westville, FL, a daughter of the late Columbus and Lula Holmes Locke. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, canning and working with her flowers.

She is survived by her son; James Robert "Bert" Tanner; grandchildren, Shannon Nicole Tyler, Steven Williamson, Michael Williamson, Charles Tanner; step-grandchildren,  Timothy Beasley, Kimberly Ard, Fran Springs, Tosha Bennett, Alisha Bennett, Sonny Brown, and Ashley Cook; Sister, Inez Brooks; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend and neighbor James Creel.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Betsy Williamson.

Graveside services, directed Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel Rd., Johnsonville, SC, 29555.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Imogene Tanner to Morris Funeral Home, PO Box 158, Hemingway, SC 29554.
