Jack Ard, 83, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, in a Darlington nursing center.

Mr. Jack was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Joe Sephus and Annie Barnhill Ard. He was a retired painter, attended Johnsonville schools, and was a member of Unity Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he loved painting and laying carpet and tile.

He is survived by a sister, Armago (Carthen) Lyerly and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two daughters, Jackie Ard and Sandy Ard; two brothers, Noah Ard and Sam Ard and four sisters, Lillian Evans, Louise Cribb, Orie Stroud, and Eva Pergram.

Funeral services will be held at 5;00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mill Branch Cemetery, 250 Evans Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM until 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main S., Hemingway, SC 29554.
