Jackie Linford Powell, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his home.

Jackie was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Laurie Wardell "Mutt" Powell, Sr. and Cherrill Cribb Yates. He was retired from the US Air Force and before becoming disabled, he enjoyed working on cars and going fishing. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren or playing with his beloved dog, Samson.

He is survived by his former wife and companion, Betty Tanner Powell; daughters, Samantha (Windell) Hartfield and Kindall (Jason) Cribb; grandchildren, Keaton, Liam, Cieran, and Robert "Peanut"; step father, Bert Yates; brothers, Tony (Susan) Powell and Laurie W. Powell, Jr.; sister, Dianne (Lewis) Lineberger; step brother, Kenneth (Christina) Yates; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2020 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.

Memorials may be made to the St. Frances Animal Center, 125 Ridge St., Georgetown, SC 29440.
