James Davis Haselden, 79, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Mr. Davis was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Arnold Davis and Ozella Haselden Haselden. He was a devout Christian and attended Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a retired farmer and finished carpenter, avid fisherman and gardener.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Howell Haselden; son, Michael D. Haselden; granddaughters, Amanda H. (Stewart) Sturgeon and Kristen H. (Jonathan) McDaniel; great-grandchildren, McKenna Sturgeon and Bryson McDaniel; brothers, Larry J. (Marilynn) Haselden and Wendell (Debra) Haselden; brother-in-law Jimmie Cribb; sisters-in-law Lula Haselden and Alice Thompson.
He was predeceased by a son, James B. Haselden; brother, Willard N. Haselden; sister, Virginia Cribb; nephews, Travis Haselden and Will Haselden.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1573 Cowhead Road, Hemingway, SC and also 1 hour prior to the service.
