Janie Ray "Jane" Johnson Gibson, 92, widow of William W. "Billy" Gibson, III, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017 in a Florence nursing center.

Mrs. Janie Ray was born in Johnsonville, SC, a son of the late Rollin Kimball and Lou Addie Pope Johnson. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of the Hemingway First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed doing for others but she was best known for her cheese wafers.

She was the last survivor of 13 brothers and sisters.
Surviving is a large number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Johnson Family Cemetery, c/o Skip Johnson, 165 Steele Road, West Columbia, SC 29170 or the Hemingway First United Methodist Church, PO Box 6, Hemingway, SC 29554.
