Janie Faye Jones Matthews, 70, widow of George L. Matthews, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 in a Kingstree hospital.

Mrs. Janie was born in Pamplico, a daughter of the late Alford Lee and Ruby Louise Hatchell Jones. She worked at the Hannah Manor for several years. A member of the Johnsonville Church of God and the Senior Citizens of Johnsonville.

Surviving is her daughter, Tammy (Timmy) Driggers; brother, Dean (Lois) Jones; sisters, Joyce (Bobby) Haselden and La Von (Jim) Coleman; grandchildren, Dusty Powell and Shannon (Mark) Lusk; great-grandchildren, Ryland Lusk and Kylie Lusk.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Monday in the Unity Free Will Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home.

Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Old Landing Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2018
