Jean Turner Poston Dawkins, 86, widow of William H. Dawkins, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Bethea Baptist Home in Darlington, SC.

Mrs. Jean was born in Hannah, SC, a daughter of the late Weldon Jackson and Aline Wise Turner. She founded Jean's Floral Shop in 1954, and continued to oversee the daily operations of the business until April of 2021. She was a member of the Johnsonville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children: Kimberlyn Poston, Robin Dawkins, and Joe (Karen) Dawkins; grandchildren, Brittany Dawkins Bertram, Shelby Dawkins, Brock Dawkins, and Heather Poston Guschel; great-grandchildren, Tyler Guschel and Ethan Poston; sister, Carolyn (John) O'Leary; sisters-in-law, Virginia Chinnes, Nancy Poston, and Joyce Wilson and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Max LeFay Poston, Sr. and son, Max LeFay "Mackey" Poston, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
