Jeanette Cribb Berry, 85, wife of Charles Berry, passed away on November 21, 2025, at her home in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

A daughter of the late Willard and Ila Cribb, Jeanette was born on November 19, 1940, in Hemingway, South Carolina.  She lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to her work, love for her family, and an enduring passion for sports.

A proud graduate of Pleasant Hill High School's Class of 1959, Jeanette carried the values of hard work and perseverance into her professional life. She built a successful career as a mortgage loan processor with Bank of America and Compass Mortgage where her diligence and professionalism left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Beyond her career, Jeanette found great joy on the softball field. An active member of an adult travel softball team, she played third base with enthusiasm and skill. Her husband, Charles, shared in this passion by coaching her team for a time—an experience that brought them closer together through their mutual love of the game.

In addition to her husband, Jeanette is survived by her brothers Walt (Sylvia) Cribb and Norton (Vera) Cribb; her sister Pansy Ard; and numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her warmth and spirited nature.

Jeanette was predeceased in death by her sister and brother-in-law Maxine and Milton Ortiz-Velez as well as brother-in-law Larry Ard.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery located at 11940 Pleasant Hill Drive, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.  The family will receive friends from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center, 11940 Pleasant Hill Drive, Hemingway, South Carolina, 29554.
