Jeanette Rogers Hearne, 93, widow of William Gray "Billie" Hearne, passed away at MUSC Health in Florence on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born in Florence, SC, Jeanette was a daughter of the late Burton and Margaret "Maggie" Rogers.  After graduation from high school, she enrolled in the McLeod School of Nursing; however, she ultimately chose to marry and raise a family with her husband.  For many years, she helped her husband to build a home by working as a grader at JP Stevens.

Jeanette was a dedicated member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Hannah where she was actively involved in church life for as long as health allowed. She lovingly cared for the nursery at the church for many years, offering warmth and comfort to generations of children.  Her commitment to service and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew them through the church community.

Jeanette found joy in simple pleasures and meaningful routines. She had a deep love for yard work—especially taking pride in keeping the lot beside her house clean and well-tended. When eyesight permitted, she enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting as she watched the race and episodes of The Young and the Restless on television.

Jeanette is survived by her children Robert G. Hearne,  Debra H. Hicks (Jimmy); and Bryant L. Hearne (Vickie); grandchildren Brandie, Clint, Dodi, Eddie, Benji, Jamie, Brad, and Zach; great-grandchildren James, Sawyer, Payton, Jamie, Allie, Lucas, Warner, Caroline, Noah, Hailie, Fin, and Elvie; great-great grandchildren Christa, Blake, Chloe, and James; and sisters Mary Welch and Shelby Edwards (Wayne).

In addition to her husband of 53 years and her parents, Jeanette  was predeceased by a son, Shawn Patrick Hearne; brothers Oliver Rogers and Joseph Rogers; and sister Joyce Davis.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 3630  Bay Road, Pamplico, SC, 29583.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC, 29555.
