Hemingway, SC

Jerrie Lynn Bruorton Cooper, 72, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at her home.

Jerrie was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Clifford Charlie "CC" Bruorton and the late Josie Prosser Bruorton. She was a retired Cosmetologist, a member of the Center Baptist Church and was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School Class of 1966. She enjoyed working with and making crafts, going to Black River and the beach, but most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her two granddaughters.

She is survived by her daughter, Roni Cooper (Jared) Poston; granddaughters, Lily Cecelia Poston and Camilla Brayln Poston; sisters, Rose Nell Bruorton (Ken H.) Lester and Janice Bruorton Avant; nephews, Mark, Harris, Marty Avant, and Kenneth Lester; nieces, Kristine Lynn Long and Kelli Bruorton Lash.

She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Wayne Avant.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in the Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 4681 Rose Hill Road, Georgetown, SC 29440.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
