Jessie Eleba Owens, husband of Miranda Baxley Owens passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Jessie was born in Hemingway, SC a son of the late James Henderson and Eliza Jeanette Thompson Owens. He was a truck driver for Don's Recycling and was a retired waste water treatment operator out of Milton Florda. He was retired from the SC National Guard and was a member of the Indiantown Masonic lodge #165.

He was an AVID animal lover, enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to BBQ and garden, but most of all loved spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years Miranda Baxley Owens; son Jonathan (Cebo) Owens; daughters Tiffany (Tim) Bell, Kimberly (Brian) Willis; Grandchildren, Henderson, Rheanna, Olivia, Carter, Haile, Halina, Haven, Henry, Eva, Ivy, and Jaley; sisters Camellia (Phillip) Flory, and Sheila (Gene) Cribb; and numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway SC, will be held at 3:00PM Sunday February 2, 2025 at Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Bural, with full Masonic Rites provided by Indiantown Masonic Lodge # 165, will be in the church cemetery,86 Williams Hill Rd., Hemingway, SC 29554

The family will receive friends from 1:30PM until 3:00PM Sunday February 2, 2025 in the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 86 Williams Hill Rd., Hemingway, SC 29554.
