Jim L. Lyerly, 82, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mr. Lyerly was born in Hemingway, a son of the late Carley L. and Axley Cox Lyerly. He barbered in Hemingway for over 40 years. He was a member of New Life Ministries Church and enjoyed fishing, country music and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by three sisters, Nina Cox, Martha Harmon, and Juanita (Clifton) Orvin; two brothers, Jerry (Phyllis) Lyerly and Nick (Staci) Lyerly; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Wise Lyerly; sisters, Jenny L. Myers and Mary L. Alexander; brother, John Quincy "Sonny" Lyerly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
