Joanne Marie Anjo Gerald, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in the McLeod Hospice House with family in attendance.

Joanne was born in Honolulu, HI, a daughter of the late Harold P. and Eleanor Martin Anjo. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed working in her yard, cooking for her family, and she loved her cats and Rusty, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Doug (Alisa) Gerald; grandchildren, Matthew Ryan (Erin) Gerald, Joshua Dean (Sara Kolb) Gerald, and 5 great-grandchildren; her significant other, L. D. Collins; brothers, Harold "Hal" Anjo and Robert "Bobby" Anjo.

She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Dean Gerald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway, SC.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022, in the Palmetto Memorial Gardens, 1934 Senator Gasque Rd., Marion, SC 29571.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of Joanne may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29506 or to the American Heart Association, 1113 44 ^th Ave. N. Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
