Joe Allen Johnson, 90, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 in a Florence nursing center.

Mr. Joe was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Rollin Kimball and LouAddie Pope Johnson. He was a retired farmer, attended Muddy Creek Schools and enjoyed painting.

Surviving is his sister, Janie Ray Gibson and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Kimball, Jesse, G. W., Douglas and Rollin Johnson; sisters, Eleanor Rebozo, Lib Harmon Bartell, Dot Stuckey, Willa Maude Eaddy, Bobbie Gordon and half-sister Evelyn Willis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Johnson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, PO Box 188, Hemingway, SC 29554.
