John "Poly" Amos Parsons, 73, husband of Janet E. Parsons, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at his home.

Mr. John was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the Blondell Altman Parsons Williams and the late John O. Parsons. He was retired from Wellman Industries as a Lead mechanic and was a member of New Vision Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Janet Evans Parsons; mother, Blondell P. Williams; children, Johnny (Nikki) Parsons and Jan (Jason) Gunter; grandchildren, Hannah Parsons, Hunter Cribb, Cayley Gunter, Ashlin Gunter, and Jakeb Gunter; sisters, Margie (Roger) Tanner and Wanda (Randy) Willis; brothers, James (Linda R.) Parsons, Dell (Linda J.) Parsons, Eddie Parsons, Virgil (Betty Sue) Parsons, Ralph (Virginia) Parsons, and Roger (Darlene) Parsons. He was predeceased by a sister, Hazeleen Graham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 23, 2018 in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 State Hwy. 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554 with burial in the Parsons Family Cemetery which is right behind the church.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, November 22, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
