John Hartfield, 46, husband of Tina Louise Filyaw Hartfield, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 from injuries sustained in an accident.

John was born in Marion, SC, a son of David Mexford and Patricia Marlow Hartfield. He was a foreman for Sumter Utilities, attended Unity Free Will Baptist Church, a member of Leo Masonic Lodge # 310, and was a past member of the Phillip Simmons Artist Blacksmith of SC.

He enjoyed RC trucks, riding motorcycles, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tina Louise Filyaw Hartfield; his children, David Russell Hartfield, Phillip Janson Hartfield, and Lillian Rose Hartfield; siblings, Mark Kale (Tina) Hartfield, Tracy Lawayne (Stacey) Hartfield, Mexford Glen (Ashley) Hartfield, and Ashley Marie (Bradley) Cook; mother-in-law, Cindy Filyaw; brother-in-law, Brandon (Emalee) Filyaw and sister-in-law, Stacie (Trevor) Lovett; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the Unity Free Will Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, June 6, 2022 in the Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 1802 Lake City Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
