Judith "Judy" Kay Racer Powell, 79, widow of John Powell, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mrs. Judy was born on September 15, 1940, in Royal Oak, Michigan. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Racer, Bess Pulford Racer, and Mintie Jewel Racer. She was a retired cosmetology instructor who enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Judy is survived by her children, Mark Ash, Kellie (Rob) Gill, Chris (Chandra) Racer, Jason (Misty) Powell, Crystal (Pat) Capps; stepdaughter, Lori Jackson; grandchildren, Courtney (Corey) Dennis, Corey (Courtney) Racer, Kasi (Russell) Evans, David (Erin) Gill, Cody Powell, Gary (April) Racer, Kaylyn (Andrew) Racer, Chelsie (Kenny) Hanna, Dawson Hanna, Katie Racer, Skylar Racer, Brent (Tara) Racer, and Heather (Josh) Stone; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Joann (Keith) Wagner, Mary (Carl) Harris; and a brother, Tom (Barbara) Racer.

She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Margaret) Racer.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be private due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
