Joseph Holland "Junior" Lewis, Jr., 84, passed away Friday, October 5, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Junior was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Joseph Holland Lewis Sr. and Annie Sue Owens Lewis. He was a graduate of Hemingway High School a retired farmer and a member of Hemingway First Baptist Church. He loved to fish and raising and working with his dogs.
Surviving are his wife for 65 years, Janice Cox Lewis; children Joey (Patty) Lewis, Bryan (Buffy) Lewis, and Belinda (Kevin Elia) Lewis Pope; brother, Durward (Susan) Lewis; sister, Elizabeth Fenters; grand-children Ashley Sulivan, Kayla Lewis, Brittany Bennett, Alex Lewis, and Megan Fisher; great-grand-daughter Lille Sulivan.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the Hemingway First Baptist Church, 200 East George Street Hemingway, SC 29554. Burial directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM till 7:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence, 12 Warehouse Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.
