Kay Elaine (Kathy) Rogers Russ, 69, passed away peacefully to Heaven on January 3, 2026 at MUSC Mullins Nursing Center.

Kathy was born and raised in Hemingway, SC, daughter of Mary Frances and Linwood Rogers, who preceded her in death.

Kathy was a graduate of Hemingway High School and attended the Will Lou Gray Opportunity School. She worked at Tupperware in Hemingway for a number of years until her health deteriorated. Kathy was a joy to be around, had a great love for her family, and appreciated everyone who was a part of her life. Her family would like to extend special thanks to the Chesterfield County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs for their love and care of Kathy for a number of years. Kathy developed friends who were like family while in their care. Also, special thanks go to the staff of MUSC Mullins Nursing Home for their loving care of Kathy for the past 8 years.

Surviving are a son, Justin Russ, of Hemingway; sister Mary Lynn Pool (Steve) of Marion; sister Jean Haselden (Bill) of Murrells Inlet; 3 nephews, 1 niece and a number of great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the Indiantown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
