Kristen Marguerite Cantey, 59, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 in a Georgetown hospital after an illness.

Kristen was born on October 8, 1962 in Hemingway, SC.  She was a daughter of the late Jesse Gordon Cantey, Sr. and the late Marguerite Mae Richardson Cantey. She was a caregiver and she was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church.

She enjoyed working puzzles, cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and her dog "Harley".

She is survived by a son, Clay (Leslie) Cantey; grandchildren, Caroline, Madison, and Bryson; sister, Eugenia "Gena" (Ronnie) Miller; brothers, Percy (Irene) Cantey, Stephen Eugene "Gene" (Pam) Cantey, Jesse Gordon "Don" (Virginia) Cantey, Jr., John Floyd (Marie) Cantey, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Judy Graham Cantey.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC, 29554.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022 in the Morris Funeral Home, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
