Lavonia Hearn Olsen, 77. widow of John Carl Olsen, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Lavonia was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Hugh F. Hearn and the late Lenora Venters Hearn. She was one of the Owners of the Chic Restaurant and was a member of the Kingsburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting and flowers, as well as watching birds, especially Hummingbirds. She never met a stranger and loved talking to people.

She is survived by a son, two grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law; sisters, Carolyn (Ed) Palumbo, Dixie Evans, and Valerie (Wynn) Eaddy; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews
She was predeceased by one brother Hugh F. Hearn, II.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel; with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554 and other times at the home of Dixie Evans, 102 Florence Ave., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
