Lester Bingley "L. B." Stone, Jr., 75, husband of Carolyn Shelley Stone, passed away, Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home.

Mr. L. B. was born in Johnsonville, SC, a son of the late Lester Bingley Stone, Sr. and the late Bessie Lee Poston Stone. He attended New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church and had served in both the US Army (Vietnam War) and the SC National Guard for over 21 years.

He was a retired mail carrier for the US Postal Service and had worked at both AB Dick and Tupperware. He enjoyed fishing, talking, spending time with his friends in his barn, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren affectionally called him "OB".

He is survived by is wife of 50 years, Carolyn Shelley Stone and children, Angie (Dale) McKenzie, Melissa (Cliff) Collins and Toby Stone; brothers and sister, Bobby E. (Linda) Stone, Andy (Laura) Stone, and Belinda Roberts; grandchildren, Raulston McKenzie, Rylan McKenzie, Caroline Collins, and Caley Collins; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Stone, Velda Stone, and Jean Stone.

He was predeceased by brothers, Jackie (Willa Mae) Stone, Laross Stone, and Greg Stone and a brother-in-law, Roy Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, 4221 Sheminally Rd., Pamplico, SC 29583. Burial will be in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 114 E. Trinity Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
