Obituary

Murrells Inlet, SC

Linda Jean Haselden Miller, 78, widow of Jimmy Dale Miller, Sr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 18, 2020, after a sudden and unexpected illness.

Mrs. Linda was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Willis Everett Haselden, Sr. and the late Juanita Altman Haselden. Never impressed by riches or fame, her greatest aspiration in life was to be a loving and faithful mother.

She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Surfside, Grace Sunday School Class, and served in the Good News Club after school program. She enjoyed playing tennis and watching other sports but most of all she loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her five children, Monica (Scott) Price, Sharon (Doug) Gill, Denise (Lee) Floyd, Michelle (Chris) Arnold, and Jimmy Dale (Ketra) Miller, Jr.; brother, Willis Haselden, Jr.; she is also survived by 14 grandchildren who loved their Ninna, Nanny greatly; and her loyal dog, Coco.
She is predeceased by 3 sisters, Bobby Harrell, Ann Martin, and Carolyn Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Center Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery, 2602 Schoolhouse Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Center Baptist Church, 2602 Schoolhouse Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.

Her family would like to thank the staff at MUSC, especially her nurse, Christy, for their wonderful care. In addition, we are thankful to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Priscilla and Melissa, who made it possible for "Miss Linda" to spend her final days in her little white house that she filled with love and candy for her grandchildren.

Even though her family is deeply saddened by her passing, we are rejoicing that she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus.

Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 391 Seaboard St., Unit 6, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
