Mrs. Linda Ann Simmons, 71, entered into rest at her home on December 28, 2024.

Linda was born in Whiteville, N.C., a daughter of the late Legrand Moore and Gladys Mae Jowers.  Linda worked as a seamstress in the textile industry.  Her greatest enjoyment in life came when listening to her son read the Bible to her.  She also enjoyed spending time with all of her children and grandchildren as well as working word puzzles, playing cards, shopping, and watching TV.

She is survived by her mother; Gladys Mae Rogers Jowers, son; Jerry (Sindy) Simmons, biological daughter; Jeannie (Garrett) Hayes, grandchildren; Megan and Caleb Hayes, and Zoey and Scarlett Simmons, Brother; Rev. Larry (Wanda) Moore, Sisters; Shirley (Allan) Carpenter and Judy Nobles. Linda was predeceased by her sister; Peggy Porter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2025 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1573 Cowhead Road, Hemingway, SC 29554, with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Thursday, January 2, 2025 in the Church Sanctuary prior to the service.
