Lois Poston Davis, 92, widow of Harold L. Davis, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at her home

Mrs. Lois was born in Pamplico, SC, a daughter of the late Wardie and Ronie Hanna Poston. Until her health would not let her attend, she was a very active member of the Hemingway First Baptist Church, church choir and The Ruth Sunday School Class. She was also very active in the Order of the Eastern Star # 156 in her younger years and finally achieved her life long position of becoming the Grand Worthy Matron for the State of South Carolina.

She is survived by her sons, Randall Davis, Daniel (Mary C.) Davis and Harold Davis, Jr.; grandchildren, Shannon Davis, Erik (Carly) Davis, Tyler

(Mabel) Davis, and Ashley Davis Young; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Smith, MaryBeth Davis, Maggie Davis, Macee Davis, Connor Davis, Ian Davis, Emsley Young, and Kolton Young; brother, Frank Poston; sister-in-law, Roberta Poston.

She was predeceased by brothers, Herman (Hilda) Poston, Earl (Sarah) Poston, and Ernest (Betty) Poston; sisters, Audrey (Wallace) Weaver, Lucille (Roland) Altman, Azalee (Murdie) Hanna, Alberta (Richard) Abrams, and Bessie (Ovid) Lyerly.

She enjoyed working in her yard, fishing, cooking for her family, but most of all she loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2020 in the Hemingway First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Poston Memorial Cemetery, 3573 Old Salem Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
