Lois Hyman Cox, 90, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Cox was born in Pamplico, SC, a daughter of the late Ossie and Lula Mae Brown Hyman. She was predeceased by her husband, Blondon Cox who passed away in 2002. They were married for 55 years and they worked side by side farming the land and raising three children.
She was a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, served as church Secretary and Treasurer for over 60 years and taught Sunday School for numerous years. She was a graduate of Pamplico High School.
Surviving are her children, Sandra (William) Tanner, Bobby (Paula) Cox, and Lynn (David) Benton; sister, Margaret Parham of Latta; brothers, James Earl (Francis) Hyman of Leesville and Jimmy (Mary) Hyman; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Greg Tanner and a sister, Geneva Gandy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1573 Cowhead Road, Hemingway, SC 29544.
