Mr. Ard enjoyed his annual family vacations to the beach and the mountains. He had a special love for music and enjoyed sharing his music with family and friends as well as singing in church. He had many talents, including playing the piano, guitar, and a variety of stringed instruments. He was a member of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association for many years and was known as "Big Brother" to many. Mr. Ard also cheerfully volunteered for McLeod Health for many years, making lifelong friends.

A message from the family of Mr. L.E. Ard: "Words are not enough to express the gratitude we feel for your many acts of kindness shown to our family. May you all know that you have a special place in our hearts. Thank you to McLeod Hospice for their support during this time. May God bless each of you."
