Lula Jo McDaniel Lewis, 93, widow of Clifton Lewis, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, December 4, 2023.

Mrs. Lula Jo was born in Scranton, SC, a daughter of the late Hamp and Annie McDaniel.  Spending time with her family was Mrs. Lula Jo's greatest joy.  Also, she loved to read, cross stitch, plant flowers, and garden.

She is survived by children Donna Bolyn and Michael (Libbie) Lewis, Sr; grandchildren, Monica (Scott) Richardson; Michael Lewis, Jr.; David (Kimberly) Elliott, Jr.; Leslie (Ryan) Stone; and Cliff (Christie) Owens; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Lula Jo was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and David Elliott, Sr.  as well as sisters Lucille Calcutt, Eva Jones, and Margaret Joye.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in the Old Johnsonville UMC Cemetery located at 846 S Georgetown Highway, Johnsonville, SC, 29555.  The family will receive friends at the family farm located at 125 Clifton Road, Hemingway, SC  29554.
