Lula Mae Powell Evans, 94, Widow of Dalton Evans, passed away Sunday, September 1,2024 in a Marion nursing center.

Mrs. Lula was born in Johnsonville, SC a daughter of the late Lacy and Daisy Hutchinson Powell.

She was a member of Rains Free Will Baptist Church. In her early years she worked as a nurse at the Marion Convalescent Home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Barry Evans and daughter, Dean Misenheimer of Galivants Ferry, SC ; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Dalton, Dawn, Tina, Vicki, Robbie, and Heather; great grandchildren,, Aaron, Brayden, Maggie, Tristan, Phillip, Laci, Whittney, Trey, Brandon, Caitlyn, Chloe, and Zach; great great-grandchildren, Oaklyn, Brielai,, and Ava; sister, Margaret Sweat of Columbia, SC; niece Shawn Hook and nephew Danny Sweat also of Columbia, SC..

Mrs. Lula was predeceased by a daughter, Dale Drew.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
