Obituary

Madison Rose Quick, 18, daughter of Belinda Sessions, passed away on September 6, 2025 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Madison was born on November 13, 2006, in Florence, South Carolina, Madison brought light and creativity into the lives of those around her from an early age.

A 2025 graduate of Mullins High School, Madison achieved the distinction of becoming a licensed cosmetologist while still in high school—a testament to her determination and talent.  While in high school, Madison was also a member of the Mullins High School JROTC as well as the Honor Society.  She was enrolled for the Spring, 2026 semester at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC), where she planned to study radiology and pursue a future in healthcare.

In her spare time, Madison enjoyed crafting and drawing.  Her love for baking was equally memorable—she made delicious cupcakes and dreamed of opening a bakery with her sister. These passions were more than hobbies; they were reflections of her generous heart and joyful personality.

A long-time member of Effingham Church of God in Effingham, South Carolina, Madison was actively involved in the church's youth group. Her faith community played a meaningful role in her life and provided a foundation for her values and friendships.

In addition to her mother, Madison is survived by her bonus dad, Michael McCray; sisters:  Caitlynn Dillon (Matthew), Linzie Quick, and Makiyah McCray; brothers:  Ashton Gause and Jacerce McCray; grandparents Barbara and Larry Farmer; and fiancé Demorean Monroe.

Madison was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Wilson Sessions and grandmothers Betty Jean Quick and Irene Thompkins Capps.
