Marcia Louise Bass Avant, 67, wife of Winnifred "Toot" Avant, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at her home.

Marcia was born in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of the late Howard M. and Effie Mae Tindall Bass. She was a member of the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church and loved helping out other families in the community.

She enjoyed fishing and going to the Mountains, but loved spending time with her family, especially the small children.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Winnifred "Toot" Avant; God child, Jennifer (Chris) Baggett; brothers, Randy (Michele) Bass, Rusty Bass, Steve Bass, John (Vickie) Bass, and Buddy (Doris) Bass: sisters, Billie Pope and Joann Causey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Gene Bass; 2 sisters, Cathy Birchmore and Patricia Veiazquez

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Old Field Cemetery, 19761 Choppee Road, Hemingway, SC 29554.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554
