Margaret Lyerly Thompson, 80, wife of Norman T. "Sonny" Thompson, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 in a Florence hospital.

Mrs. Margaret was born in Lake City, SC a daughter of the late Gladys Evans Lyerly. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hemingway First Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming and spending time with her family.

Surviving is her husband, Norman T. "Sonny" Thompson; daughter, Melinda Thompson; sister Lena Watson. She was predeceased by a son Bud Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery, 481 S. Eaddy Ford Road, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
