Margie Viva Chinnes McDaniel, 87, widow of William L. McDaniel, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on October 8, 2020.
Mrs. Margie was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman and Italene Altman Chinnes. She worked in nursing for 30 years with the majority of those years spent at Lake City Community Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt always loving and putting the needs of others before herself.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Tricia) McDaniel, Gary (Dina) McDaniel, Linda (Joe) Webb; grandchildren, Brian (Kevina) McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, Shane (Michael) Boone, Adrienne (Ben) Burris, Megan Lynch, Eric (Hannah) McDaniel, Megan (David) Wallace, Heather Webb (Bobby), and Nicholas Mouzon; great-grandchildren, Brody, Savanna, Ethan, Dayne, Isaiah, Aiden, Peyton, and Daisy.
She was predeceased by her husband, William L. McDaniel; grandson, Alex Rankin; sisters, Eunice Lentz and Dewese Smith; brothers, Joe Deal Chinnes, Ed Chinnes, Waney Chinnes, Lloyd Chinnes, and Bennie Allen Chinnes.
A service of celebration will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2020 in the Powell Cemetery, 2422 Lake City Hwy, Lake City, SC 29560, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC.
The family wishes to express deep appreciation to their mother's sitters, Dara and Tori, as well as, Olivia, Cynthia, and Melanie of McLeod Hospice for all their devoted care.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers.
