Hemingway, SC

Marilyn Baxley Parsons, 62, wife of Eddie Parsons, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Marilyn was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Alford Winfred and Ruby Driggers Baxley. She was a retired LPN, a member of the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church and church pianist. She received her LPN degree from Horry-Georgetown Tech and also attended the Free Will Baptist Bible College.

Surviving is her husband, Eddie Parsons; daughter, Hope (Harold) McClam; grandchildren, Cody (Darcy) McClam, Shahna (Will) Gray, Tony Mercer, Brian Mercer, Neylan McClam, and Carlos McClam; brothers, Danny (Wanda) Baxley and Rodney (Renetta) Baxley.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sage McClam.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the New Vision Free Will Baptist Church, 2616 State Hwy 41/51, Hemingway, SC 29554. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Parsons Family Cemetery on Pasture Lane, Hemingway, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, January 1, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
