Mark Allen Downard, 64, husband of Mary Ann Spano Downard, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Mark was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of Keith Wayne Downard and the late Elsie Marie McConaughey Downard. He was retired from the construction business where he helped build bridges and was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, reading his bible, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann Spano Downard; children, Jessica (Kerry) Powell, Mark Joseph Downard, and Nicholas (Kristen) Norris; brothers, Joey (Karen) Downard and Jimmy Beuran; sister, Sharyl (Danny) Mihalik; grandchildren, Antonia (Danny) Baker, Noah James Powell, CJ, Catalaya, Chevy, and Journey.

He was predeceased by a brother, Kim Wayne Downard.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 in the Lake Chapel Cemetery, 860 Lake Chapel Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
