Mark Van Powell, 58, husband of Cheryl Vereen Powell, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 in the McLeod Hospice House.

Mark was born in Florence, SC, son of the late Vanith C. O. Powell and the late Shirley Benton Powell. He was a carpenter and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his puppies but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Vereen Powell; children, Kurt Van Powell and Alyssa Jade and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Vanessa Street.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Word of Life Church, 942 S.  Clayfield Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Word of Life Church, 942 S. Clayfield Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
