Martena D. Cox, 69, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021, at a Florence hospital.

Ms. Martena was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late James Martin Dennis and Lottie Josephine Carter Dennis. She was a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Tupperware. She worked as a beautician for over 50 years and loved doing hair and fixing flowers.

She is survived by a daughter, Marti (Brent) Powell; granddaughters, Madelyne Powell and Olivia Powell; brothers, Al (Lynn) Dennis and Larry Dennis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Julius Lee Dennis, Sr.

Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be private.
