Martha (Tootsie) LeGette Hughes, 78, wife of Roger Hughes, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Tootsie was born in Hemingway, SC, the daughter of the late Woodson and Edna Gordon LeGette.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Roger Hughes; daughters, Jennifer (Frankie) Hunter, Melanie (Ashley) Brewer, and Leah (Noel) Howel; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry LeGette.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The family will receive guest from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1760 Pope Road, Hemingway, SC 29554, where she was an active member and part of the music ministry.
