Mary Evelyn Boone Poston, 89, widow of Clarence W. Poston, passed away Saturday November 16, 2019 in a Georgetown hospital.

Mrs. Evelyn was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late William Luke and Lillie Ray Boone. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was the oldest living member of Freedom Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed gardening especially flowers, cooking, singing, doing word search puzzles, and talking to friends over coffee.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ann Cameron, Janice (Billy) Bruorton, and Richard (Becky) Poston; sister, Betty (John) Thompson; grandson, Billy (Kris) Poston; daughter-in-law, Anda Poston; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by a son, Vernon Poston; grandchildren, Tera Poston and Ronnie W. Cameron.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the Freedom Tabernacle Church with burial in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in the Freedom Tabernacle Church, Hemingway, SC 29554.
