MARY ELIZABETH GODWIN MORRIS

Mary Elizabeth Godwin Morris, 83, widow of Grady Cole Morris, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 in a Kingstree nursing center.

Mrs. Mary was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Wallace "Buster" and Dorothy Springs Godwin. She attended Midway Baptist Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles and she loved her dog, Little Bear, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Morris (Keith) Taylor and Timothy Cole Morris; grandchildren, Cole Vander Morris, Shayla Morris (Barrett) Altman, Corey (Haley) Taylor, and Nicholas Taylor; brother, Wallace Scott Godwin.

She was predeceased by sons, Scotty Morris and Leighton Morris, a grandson, Nick Frost, and a sister, Annette Burdette.

Graveside services. directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 21, ,2022 in the Grier Cemetery, Diamond Branch Rd., Johnsonville, SC.

The family will speak to friends after the service in the cemetery.
