Hemingway, SC

Mary Louise Baxley Haggerty, 72, widow of Jerry Haggerty, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at a Florence hospice facility.

Mrs. Louise was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Lamar Joseph and Vernell Howell Baxley. She was a retired bank teller and a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hemingway. Mrs. Louise had many interests, including cross stitching, reading, and playing golf. Most of all, she loved her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Dannie (Latoya) Foster; grandson, Cole Howell Foster; brother, Joe Baxley; niece, Renee Baxley; nephew, Stephen Baxley; and cousins, Linda Tanner and Samuel Howell.

She was predeceased by brothers Thomas Baxley and Woodrow Baxley.

Memorial services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N Main St, Hemingway, SC 29554.
