Mary Dee Tyler Cribb, 95, widow of N.H. Cribb Jr., passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home in Pleasant Hill, SC.

Mary Dee was born in Georgetown County, S.C., the daughter of the late Samuel V. Tyler and Olivia Edith Moore and her step mother Mattie M. Tyler. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School and Columbia College. Then taught elementary school for 40 plus years.

Mary Dee was married to the love of her life, Norton Hutson Cribb, Jr., "N.H." and they shared many wonderful years before his passing in 1994. Mary Dee and N.H. had one son, Norton Hutson Cribb, III, "Hutt." Hutt was the apple of Mary Dee's eye. Being his mother brought her immense joy. She was blessed to be his devoted mother until his untimely

passing in May of 2023. Her faith and the loving care of family and friends helped her endure this most tragic heartbreak.

Strong in her faith and commitment to the Lord, Mary Dee was a faithful and active member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She also attended her home church, Good Hope Methodist Church on occasion.

Throughout her life, Mary Dee enjoyed gardening, maintaining her yard, and growing the most beautiful flowers she could nurture. She spent many hours weeding, pruning, and tending to her gardens. She enjoyed every minute. Nothing made her happier than to share her love of gardening and flowers with others.

Mary Dee is survived by her sister Jackie M. Harrelson; her sisters-in-law, Gale L. Tyler(Pat), Claire C. Whipple (David), and Billie E. Cribb(Billy); and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, and nephews.

Mary Dee is predeceased by her husband, N.H. Cribb jr., son N.H. Cribb III "Hutt", her brothers Allen Tyler, Pat Tyler, Billy Moore, and a sister Runnette McCutcaeon.

A graveside service will be held with burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery ,11904 Pleasant Hill Dr. Hemingway SC, 29554.
