Mary Driggers Wise, 85, widow of Buddy Gene Wise, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 in a Florence hospital after an illness.

Mrs. Mary was born in Lake City, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Belton and Lena Everette Hayes Driggers. She was retired from Wellman Industries and was a member of the New Hope Church.

She enjoyed reading her Bible, going to church, her Saturday and Sunday afternoon rides, spending time on the phone, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Wise, Laura (Andy) Stone, Velda Wise, and Buddy Gene "Buck" Wise, Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two grandsons, Anson Stone and Timmy Stone, six brothers and sisters, Edith Williams, Thomas B. Driggers, Jr., Pressley Driggers, Clyde Driggers, George Driggers, and John Lewis, two sons-in-law, Stanley Howard and Gregory Stone, a special friend, Linda Graham, and her dog, Stink

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the New Hope Church with burial in the church cemetery, 719 N. New Hope Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the New Hope Church, 719 N. New Hope Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.
