Hemingway, SC

Medford LaFae Cox, 84, widower of Algie Poston Cox, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Medford was born in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late William Cullen and Odessa Miles Cox. He was a retired Life of Georgia Insurance Salesman, a member of the Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Rehobeth Golden Hearts Club. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, fishing, and vacationing with his family.

Surviving are his daughters, Brenda Grier and Becky (Gregg) Richardson; grandchildren, Jennifer, Geri, Leslie, and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Gage, Kymber, Welby, Macayla, Kendal, Anderson, Easton, and Winston; sister, Virgiline (Everette) Davidson.
He was predeceased by sons, Chandler and Daryl Cox; son-in-law, Richard Grier; great-granddaughter, Kalyn Lee; brothers, Blondon, Marion, Cortez, Cletus, and Lori Cox; sisters, Virginia Creel and Madeline Baxley.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
