Melinda Thompson, 62, passed away Saturday June 1, 2024 in a Florence SC Hospital.

Melinda was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Norman "Sonny" Talmadge and Margaret Casselman Thompson and granddaughter of the late Conrad and Esther Carter Thompson.

She was a graduate of Hemingway High School, a member of Hemingway First Baptist Church and was a former member of Midway Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, going to church, playing the piano, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her Aunt, Lena Watson a large extended family and numerous friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Norman "Sonny" and Margaret Thompson and her brother, Joe E. "Bud" Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery, 481 S. Eaddy Ford Rd., Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
