Hemingway, SC

Merrill "The Old Goat" Hedrick, 65, husband of Donna Smith Hedrick, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home.

Merrill was born in Parkersburg, W. VA, a son of the late Merrill G. and Ruth Sams Hedrick. He was a retired operator for Union Carbide. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith Hedrick of Hemingway, SC; sons, Thomas Andrew Hedrick of Cairo, W. VA, Thomas Harley (Tori) Mullins of Dixie, W. VA, Christopher Dalton Smith, and Patrick Logan Smith both of Hemingway, SC; brothers, Bob (Deva) Wilson of Ohio, Craig (Paula) Ross, Jason Ross, and Gary Hedrick all of W. VA; uncles, Alan (Linda) Hedrick and David Schlarb both of W. VA; grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt, Wesson, William, Hadley, Carson, and Lincoln.

Memorial services will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 in the Elk's Club in Parkersburg, W. VA.
