Michael Douglas Richardson, 64, husband of Tonya Bullard Richardson, passed away Friday February 21, 2025.

Michael was born in Mullins, SC, a son of Betty Johnson Richardson and the late Olin Douglas Richardson. He was a truck driver for Baker Transportation, a member of the Unity Free Will Baptist Church and was a US Air Force veteran.

He enjoyed fishing, working with both his honey bees and grapevine, listening to Christian audio books with Tonya but most of all he loved spending time with his friends, children, grandchildren and his fur babies, baby girl Smokey and Shadow.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tonya Bullard Richardson; sons, Michael (Lindsay) Richardson, II and William Anthony "Tony" (Abigayle) Richardson; mother of his children, Barbara Richardson; grandchildren, Harlie Richardson, Colsen Richardson, and Chase McDaniel; adopted son, Anthony William "Tony" Whitney; sisters, Kathy (Wayne) Jones and Janice (Randy) Cox; fur babies, Baby Girl Smokey and Shadow and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Anthony "Tony" Richardson.

Funeral services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in the Unity Free Will Baptist Church, 1802 Lake City Hwy., Johnsonville, SC 29555. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel, 416 N. Main St., Hemingway, SC 29554.
