Mildred Ard Marsh, 83, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at her home.

Ms. Mildred was born in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late William Lawrence and Lelon Powell Ard. She was a caregiver and a member of the Owens Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She enjoyed fishing, working in her yard, watching the Atlanta Braves, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Levette (Jimmy) Lewis, Vicki Tanner, Thel Ray Marsh, Italy (Molly) Marsh and Derrick Marsh; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Ruth Blanton and Linda Ard Bunch; honorary son, Rev. Jack Todd.

She was predeceased by a son, William C. "Bo" Marsh, Sr.; daughter, Helen Conner Prox; son-in-law, Dean Tanner; brother, Dexter Ard; twin sister, Miriam Owens, sisters, Willa Mae Roberson, Mary Von Ard.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in the Pleasant Hill Family Life Center, 11904 Pleasant Hill Dr., Hemingway, SC 29554.
